In accordance with the current HKMA requirements, mortgage applicants are required to pass the stress test, i.e. calculated by adding 3% to the current mortgage interest rate (based on the market interest rate and the cap rate of HIBOR plan, generally no lower than 5.5%), the debt-to-income (DTI) ratio of the first mortgage applicant under the stress test shall not exceed 60%. The above stress test calculation is calculated on the basis of the first mortgage (second mortgage is not included) as initial reference, and it is assumed that the borrower has no other debt. The actual loan-to-value ratio is subject to the restrictions under current mortgage measures. The variable-rate mortgage repayment is calculated upon the offered interest rate and assumes that the interest rate remains unchanged for easy reference.
